Natalie Kascak
WiTA Board Chair, MC driver and Paramedic– Nat Kascak currently runs Adelaide to the Alice and Darwin transporting dangerous goods. Across a 16-year career, Nat’s amassed an impressive body of work including fuel tanker and quad work across WA’s remote Pilbara region. Out on the road, she completed a Paramedic Science Degree before briefly stepping away from trucking to work in the field. The lure of the road too much, Nat returned to trucking and has more than earned her stripes doing both intra and interstate local and long-distance remote area work transporting everything from parcels to fuel to iron ore.
Roslyn Anderson
WiTA Director and Treasurer, Roslyn Anderson is the 2020 ATA National Trucking Industry Woman of the Year and the 2018 NSW Road Freight Industry Transport Woman of the Year. Ros has extensive expertise and experience across a number of sectors within the road transport sector, has an MBA and is a Certified Practicing Accountant and Chartered Accountant. A Justice of the Peace, Ros is Treasurer of the Sydney Chapter of Convoy for Kids, has served as a Director on the Board of TWAL and currently oversees WiTA’s financial administration, review and reporting.
Darryl Bothe
WiTA Vice Chair and IT Operations Manager Darryl Bothe is a thirty-year veteran IT specialist with a strong and varied background in – and focus on business value creation through the alignment of technology and business strategies. With a broad skills base, Darryl is also a skilled negotiator with tertiary qualifications in business management. Darryl runs his own PC Technician business and is a successful business coach and IT Project Manager. Darryl takes care of WiTA’s
IT operational requirements.
Barry Fletcher
Director and MC driver Barry Fletcher joined the WiTA Board in June 2021 with an impressive portfolio of industry knowledge – including a thirty-one-year stint managing his own trucking company. Across an impressive working life, Barry has held numerous long-term Board positions with NATROAD, SARTA, the SA Wine Grape Growers Assoc and the SA Freight Council. In his “spare” time, Barry volunteered for twenty years with the SES and had a ten-year tenure as a Councillor on South Australia’s Berri-Barmera Council.
Fiona Armstrong
Director, east-coast interstate MC driver and female heavy vehicle driver advocate Fiona Armstrong is the inspiration behind WiTA’s ground-breaking “Foot in the Door” female heavy vehicle driver training and recruitment initiative – set to commence Q2, 2023. The pilot will support fifty licensed, inexperienced women into sustainable employment nationwide, before expanding to encompass all women interested in pursuing trucking careers. Fiona’s broad skills base encompasses mechanics, finance, IT systems development and business management.
Lyndal Denny
Appointed Women in Trucking Australia CEO in 2019, MC driver Lyndal Denny works with a talented Board of professionals whose strategic focus remains on creating employment and training opportunities for women seeking to establish trucking careers. Across a ten-year trucking career, Lyndal’s driven road trains throughout WA, SA, NSW, Victoria, and across the top-end. The recipient of a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow for her work in road safety, Lyndal is also an Ambassador for OzHelp’s “Health in Gear” initiative, a BigRigs Columnist and an Executive Judge for the SA Community Achievement Awards. Lyndal does regional road train work out of Adelaide.
